01 Dec Welcome Back Dr. Rudy Nunez
With the growth of Armor’s Florida business, we are pleased to announce the return of Dr. Rudy Nunez who will serve as the Regional Medical Director for North Florida. Dr. Nunez has practiced medicine for more than 25 years, the majority of the time has been in service of patients in correctional facilities.
Most recently, Dr. Nunez was the Regional Medical Director for Hepatitis C for Centurion. In that position he was responsible for all aspects dealing with Chronic Hepatitis C including evaluation and treatment of HCV patients for the Florida Department of Corrections.
Dr. Nunez returns to Armor where he spent three years as the Associate Chief Medical Officer and another three as Florida’s Regional Medical Director.
His accomplished clinical skills in primary care medicine include: HIV, Hepatitis C and Detox to incarcerated patients in the correctional setting. Dr. Nunez has vast experience with administrative issues including CQI and policies and procedure reviews on a site level. He is currently the President of the American College of Correctional Physicians and serves on the CCHP-P Examination Committee for NCCHC.
