08 Apr Senator Manny Diaz, Jr.’s Office & Armor Health Aid Share Your Heart with Vital PPE During COVID-19 Pandemic
Senator Manny Diaz, Jr.’s District 36 office has joined forces with Armor Health to aid the non-profit organization Share Your Heart with important personal protective equipment (PPE) during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“For years, our office has been working with Share Your Heart to aid District 36 low-income and elderly residents with food assistance. During this most critical time in our nation, COVID-19 has changed the scope of how organizations like this aid the most vulnerable, but the generosity of neighbors helping neighbors has been amazing. I would like to thank Armor Health for donating essential PPE to this organization, ensuring they stay safe and don’t skip a beat in helping Floridians with critical on-going access to food distribution,” Senator Manny Diaz, Jr. said.
Armor Health is a physician minority-owned company created in 2004 for the sole purpose of providing comprehensive medical care to an inmate population. During the past 15 years, the company has provided healthcare to over 250,000 inmates at 65 facilities. And in early 2019, Armor Health entered into a new era of healthcare delivery, thus restructuring clinical pathways in order to optimize positive results at intake and provide the best care and outcomes for inmates.
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Armor Health, Otto Campo said: “On behalf of the entire Armor Health team, I want to thank Senator Manny Diaz, Jr. for making us aware of the great work being done by Share Your Heart. It is our honor to help support this organization by providing essential masks and gloves to Share Your Heart’s passionate volunteers. This donation will allow them to safely continue the important work of delivering food and assistance to families in need.”
“From all of us at Share your Heart, many blessings to Armor Health for their generosity in providing protection to all those serving the frontline during the COVID-19 pandemic and to Senator Manny Diaz, Jr. for his continuous support and dedication to his community and all Floridians,” added Rolando Gonzalez Share Your Heart Executive Director.
